"Guillermo Rigattieri was born on August 18, 1976 in San Rafael, Mendoza (Argentina). When he was 18 years old he moved into the city of Mendoza to study at the Faculty of Arts. He attended the Art degree during 4 years. Later he decided to seek a personal style working in his own studio. His first forays into sculptural language were made by plastic materials such as clay and latex. Once Rigattieri felt more confident with the language of shapes, he discovered the welded and wrought metal. This discovery provided him the immediacy of such materials, making the most of its expressiveness. His works cover different themes that go from the dramatic to the fantastic as well as playful subjects."
