"The plaster model is a testimony of what people knew about Ancient Rome at a certain time (the updating came to an end between 1930 and 1940). The creation of a virtual model that constantly takes into account the progress of archaeological, historical and literary knowledge is made possible by using data processing. So besides the faithful reproduction of Paul Bigot's work and thanks to data processing, our aim, which consists of recreating Rome at different stages of its evolution; understanding the different stages of its construction and the development of its urban fabric, is achieved."
