Arthur Rackham
"Arthur Rackham (19 September 1867 – 6 September 1939) was an English book illustrator.
From Queen Victoria's death in 1901 to the start of World War I, Rackham's illustrations preserved a lifestyle and a sensibility that kept the frighteningly modern future at bay.
Even into the twenties and thirties, his art was a constant reminder of those aspects of innocence that had been left behind.
There are literally hundreds of web sites that feature Rackham art, books or information. I found one that reproduces many of the images from his Alice. Many others have samplings of his art. I encourage you to explore."
